February Swap: Mini Quilts!

Can you believe it is February already? We can’t, but February means an NJMQG swap and this month we’re excited to be swapping Mini Quilts! There have been a ton of mini quilt swaps happening on Instagram and we thought we’d join the fun, too!

Not a ton of rules for this swap, but here are some guidelines to help you:
– Quilts should be no smaller than 16” and no bigger than 24” on a side
– We encourage you to try a technique, color, or shape you’ve never tried before
– Don’t forget to label your quilt so the recipient knows who made it
– If you bring one to our next meeting on Thursday, February 26 (at 7PM at Rock Paper Scissors), you get to take one home!

Field Trip: Montclair Art Museum – Quilt Exhibit

As promised, we gathered some dates for a get together to check out the Quilt Exhibit at the Montclair Art Exhibit before it closes on January 4th. If you would like to join Stella and view the exhibit together, check out the link here to see what dates/times are available and be sure to cast your vote.

We’ll close the poll on December 23rd and announce the meet up date and time on December 24th.

Last Call for Mid-Atlantic Mod!

Our guild has six reserved spots left for Mid-Atlantic Mod, the modern quilting retreat in Lancaster, PA April 23-26. Those spots will be lost to general registration after tomorrow, November 23, so if you are interested in attending, act today or early tomorrow. General registration opens November 30.

All information about the retreat is on the official retreat blog. The cost to our members is $120 for the retreat, plus accommodations (details on the blog). Workshops are $15 each, paid in cash on the day of the workshop.
