Melissa Averinos Workshop Registration Now Open for NJMQG Members

NJMQG Members who wish to register for the Melissa Averinos “Making Faces” Workshop (details here) on Saturday, May 14, 2016 can do so by clicking below. All that is required is name, email and phone number.

REGISTRATION FORM

Confirmation emails will go out on Tuesday. The first 20 NJMQG member registrants will receive an email with payment information. If there are additional NJMQG member registrants during this time, they will be notified of their place on the wait list.

Open registration for non-members begins on Monday, April 18th at 7pm.

Note: There is no registration necessary for the Trunk Show and Talk on Friday, May 13. All are welcome to attend.

Melissa Averinos Lecture & Workshop in MAY 2016

:: LECTURE AND WORKSHOP DETAILS!!! ::

We are so excited to have Melissa Averinos visit the NJMQG in May!

The Trunk Show and Talk on May 13th will be open to the public (Free to NJMQG Members and $5 for non-NJMQG members).

** Online registration for the May 14th workshop will begin for NJMQG members on Monday, April 11th at 7pm via a blog post where you will find the link to register. Registration will open to non-members on Monday, April 18th if any of the 20 spots remain open.

:: About Melissa ::

Melissa Averinos paints, makes quilts, designs fabric, and writes craft books. She won a Judge’s Choice Award at QuiltCon 2015 for her quilt face #1 and won Best In Show at QuiltCon 2016 for her quilt My Brother’s Jeans.’ Melissa loves Atomic Fireballs, pie, unicorns, rust, gardening, yoga, thrift shopping, sad songs and summertime. Melissa is an imperfectionist, a hugger and a good listener. She lives on Cape Cod with her Adorable Husband Stuart and their two golden retrievers.

Melissa’s signature class on raw edge appliqué faces! This class was recently taught at QuiltCon 2016! Includes comprehensive lesson on drawing and understanding facial features, instruction and inspiration for creating the face in fabric, short contour drawing lesson to inform the thread sketching experience. All levels. No drawing experience necessary.
