Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that Rock Paper Scissors is sadly out of Kona White, which we have asked you to buy for the guild quilt block challenge. Beth tells me that they had six bolts when they ordered a new shipment, but the new shipment isn’t here yet, and the bolts have gone. Because of this, we’re extending the deadline on guild blocks until the March meeting from the February one. I will have the bundles for those who didn’t get them yet, but we have to wait for the white. Thanks for your patience and understanding. I can answer any questions you might have at the meeting tonight.

Meeting this Thursday!
I know we haven’t even posted the pictures from December’s meeting (I promise they’re coming), but it’s time for a reminder that January’s meeting is this Thursday. Bring a chair and a nametag (even if it’s just a sticker, it helps a lot) as always.
If you’re interested in the retreat organized by Aleeda being held the weekend of March 21 and haven’t done so already, please bring a deposit check for $50 made out to CROSSROADS RETREAT. She will have all the information for those with questions.
If you are interested in doing a modern skill-builder block of the month in 2014 with a group discount of at least 25% off the $25 fee, leave a comment on this post. More information here (the blocks are super cute and sewing-themed). If at least five people are interested, I can get discount codes, and the more people sign up, the more of a discount we get! We can share the blocks at meetings.
If you haven’t renewed dues or are interested in joining, please bring a check for $45 made out to North Jersey Modern Quilt Guild as well as an application form.
We’ll be doing a “State of the guild,” announcing some upcoming events and sharing show and tell. See you there!
Quilty Question
Hello, ALL! Welcome to 2014 (a little late, I know). With the new year, I’m already making my 2014 quilt list. Which of course is already too long to accomplish, but we can all dream, can’t we? So, what quilts are you hoping to tackle this year? I know that my 2014 dream quilt is the Gypsy Quilt, and I truly hope I can accomplish this quilt for myself. I’m sure with the quilts you share, I’ll be able to add a few more to my to-do list.
