And finally Sarah aka ‘Yo Rebel Woman’, with a beautiful assortment.

As we close the door on 2019 and enter into a new year of quilting possibilities, I wish you never ending bobbins and uninterrupted quilting time!

Happy New Year!

Party ON!!

Reminder – Guild meeting & holiday party this THURSDAY Dec 19

Where: LDS Church – 209 Mountain Ave, North Caldwell NJ, 07006

When: 7pm

Our fantastic Party Committee (Barbara & Terri) will be taking care of the food again this year.

If you are able to contribute please bring a dessert – with a tag to say what ingredients are included. We have a variety of dietary restrictions & allergies – so safety first! We also welcome drinks, including water.

Remember to wrap your swap gift so we can all be surprised.

We’ll have a bit of guild business to take care of but we’ll go quick so we can spend more time socializing, swapping & show & telling!

If you’d rather not bring items to show – snap some pictures of your makes you’ll be gifting and we can share them in the slide show in January since there will be no slide show this month.

Have a great week and see you soon!!

EXCELLENT!!

November 21st Meeting Recap

Happy December! Where did the year go!

What an exciting member meeting we had in November!

Guild Business

We had 46 members in attendance and 2 quests.

After hearing of Kimberli’s surgery, the guild sent her a bouquet of flowers as she recovers.

Treasury Report

We took two votes. The first vote was to keep the members’ dues the same as this year at $60. The second vote was on the 2020 budget. Both were approved as required by the bylaws.

Charity Update

Elinore filled us in on donations. We donated several quilts and pillow cases to SOFIA (Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates).

Programs
We started off with a special treat of a member trunk show from Carol Mann. She provided an overview of her families dental legacy and shared a little of her father’s artistic endeavors. We then viewed a wonderful slide presentation of her own artistic pursuits through the years, plus items she brought in person.

What amazing talents you have Carol! Thank you so much for your presentation!

Mystery Quilt Reveal

We first acknowledged Rochelle as she not only completed the mystery quilt top but quilted and bound it too!

Next came the parade of finished tops.

EPP Workshop Show n’ Tell

Thanks ladies for showing us your fine craftsmanship!

We also had a session of ‘Ask the Guild’ where many questions and answers revolved around tips to entering a quilt for Quiltcon.

Next up we had a showing of blocks for our Quiltcon Charity Quilt.

Over 40 blocks were collected even before we had our Open Sew on Saturday, November 25th. Well done!

There was talk of the Holiday Party that Barbara and Teri will be organizing for us. Hope you plan to attend Thursday, December 19th at LDS Church, Caldwell.

And there was mention of needing volunteers to demo at the January 16th meeting. We will be having a ‘Quilt Finishing Demos’ night. including binding, labeling, making hanging sleeves and more. Put it on your calendar.

We ended the night with Show n’ Tell:

Rochelle with vintage Log Cabin
Rebecca with an original design baby quilt.

Rebecca Improv Sew Day baskets.

Lenny and her Summer Sampler 2019.
Emily wedding gift for a friend.
Emily, newly finished quilt with favorite fabrics.
Debby with an adorable geranium baby dress.
Debby Map of the world baby quilt.
Betsy modeling the jacket she made.
Betsy with quilts from Nancy Crow workshop.
Pam, Cityscape Panel with Venetian blind effect. (Retreat finish.)
