Melissa Averinos Workshop Registration Now Open for NJMQG Members

NJMQG Members who wish to register for the Melissa Averinos “Making Faces” Workshop (details here) on Saturday, May 14, 2016 can do so by clicking below. All that is required is name, email and phone number.

Confirmation emails will go out on Tuesday. The first 20 NJMQG member registrants will receive an email with payment information. If there are additional NJMQG member registrants during this time, they will be notified of their place on the wait list.

Open registration for non-members begins on Monday, April 18th at 7pm.

** Date Change for April Meeting **

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our 2016 April NJMQG Guild Meeting Date will be changed from Thursday, April 21st to Thursday, April 28th at 7:15pm. Please make note of the date change. Also, as announced at the 2016 March meeting, our meetings will now begin at 7:15 p.m.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you all in advance for your understanding in this matter.

Quilters Take Manhattan

Registration is Open today, Monday, March 7th for members of the Quilt Alliance! Tickets go on sale to non-members at a later date.

From the website: “Speakers will be announced soon. [The] main event at FIT will be held on Saturday, September 25 with fun add-on events held on Friday, September 23 and Sunday, September 25.

Still going on! The show started this Thursday, March 3rd and ends today, Sunday, March 6th at 5pm! It’s located at the Garden State Exhibit Center, 50 Atrium Drive, Somerset, NJ.

Visit our Special Exhibit called “Modern Quilts presented by the NJMQG”! While you are there also check out the rest of the show, the other special exhibits and the vendors!

March 2016 GREEN Pincushion Swap:

The theme is Green and must be a Pincushion. It’s due at the upcoming March 2016 Meeting, Thursday, March 17th!  Click here for details and inspiration.

Paper Bag Mini Swap:

The Paper Bag Mini Swap bags were handed out at the February meeting. These are due at the April 2016 meeting!


 

Field Trips: Shopping Saturday

Reminder:: Our next Field Trip/Shopping Saturday is Saturday, March 19th at 3pm at Rock Paper Scissors located at 15 Bloomfield Ave., Montclair, NJ!


Morris Museum Exhibits

The Morris Museum currently has Studio Art Quilt Associates’ annual quilt art exhibition titled Text Messages. This runs through Sunday, March 20th.

There is also an exhibit of vintage textiles/crafts titled Follow the Thread which runs through Sunday, May 1st. This exhibit brings together more than seventy-five works from the collection of the Morris Museum.


March 2016 Crossroads Retreat

The spring Crossroads Retreat runs from Thursday, March 31st – Sunday, April 3rd!
