March 2016 Meeting Recap!!!


Hey all!!! March was such a fun meeting!  Thanks to all who participated in the Pin cushion Swap, and also thank you to Diane Fama for a BEAUTIFUL trunk show!!!

For those who couldn’t be there, here are a few announcements to remember and things to look out for:

Mini Quilts for the Paper Bag Mini Swap will be due at our next meeting which is now Thursday, April 28th at 7:15PM. Please note the date and time change.

Melissa Averinos will be coming to lecture and teach a workshop!!! We are VERY excited 🙂 ! The lecture will be held Friday, May 13th in the evening, and the Workshop, Making Faces, will be Saturday, May 14th, 10-5PM. More information to come on sign ups and all that good stuff! Go and check out her work at her website to see what she’s all about!

Wishing everyone attending the Cross Roads Retreat and the Mid Atlantic MOD retreat a fantastic time!!

Also, the New Jersey Shop Hop will be starting soon and the theme is Earth day! There are projects located at various stores around NJ that you can collect and make and drumroll please……. there are tons of really awesome fun PRIZES!!! WOOO!!! It’s a great way to visit and support a whole bunch of other LQS’s around NJ, and the road trips are fun too 🙂

  1. I was in Soho today and was delighted to see the Soho UNI QLO had a new line of clothes featuring Liberty prints. There were dresses, tee shirts, shorts and other things with Liberty prints. Check it out!

  2. I had not been to the meeting in a few months due to my schedule. It was so much fun to be with a group of like minded, creative people. I enjoy Diane’s trunk show, and all the pin cushion exchange. I’m sorry I missed most of the show and tell as I had to leave by 9. May I suggest that for future meetings someone does time keeping so we’re sure to include everyone within a reasonable timeframe for a work night. I truly enjoyed the meeting,
