Quilty Question

Hello, all!  This week I’m stumped by a quilt.  I have a few ideas for how to quilt it, but I can’t seem to commit to any of them.  How do you plan your quilting designs.  I know some people draw on an image, others just wing it, and I’ve done a bit of both.

Do you have any tips for how you decide on your quilting design?

Quilty Question

Hello, ALL!  Welcome to 2014 (a little late, I know).  With the new year, I’m already making my 2014 quilt list.  Which of course is already too long to accomplish, but we can all dream, can’t we?  So, what quilts are you hoping to tackle this year?  I know that my 2014 dream quilt is the Gypsy Quilt, and I truly hope I can accomplish this quilt for myself.  I’m sure with the quilts you share, I’ll be able to add a few more to my to-do list.

Quilty Question

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, there are so many things I’m thankful for right now.  I won’t bore you with the details, and I hope that everyone spent time counting blessings last week.  Now it’s time to discuss our quilty blessings.  I was thinking the other day how thankful I am for my rotary cutter.  12 years ago when I first made a quilt I had to trace everything and use scissors.  No shock: it took me 12 years to try again.  Thank you, Rotary Cutter for saving my life.

What quilty tool are you thankful for this year?  I need some ideas for stocking stuffers…
